This song’s lyrics concern the “rhythm and blues”, the troubles in a couple’s relationships. Usually females prefer and like romances, love in their lives with their partner, more so than most males. Many males do not desire frequent romancing, love in their lives.
 
Then more issues that have to be dealt with before beginning romancing and love affairs.
